• 橋本圣子在國會對龐德的言論作出回應，“國際奧委會正在按計劃準備東京奧運會，我們會繼續(xù)我們的籌備工作，讓國際奧委會屆時作出明智的決定。”

此外，東京奧組委表示，為了舉辦安心安全的奧運會，新冠肺炎的對策十分重要。

東京奧組委將繼續(xù)關(guān)注新冠肺炎的整體情況，研究必要的對策。

據(jù)悉，東京奧運會原計劃于7月24日開幕，殘奧會計劃于8月25日開幕。今年參加奧運會的運動員數(shù)量預計達到11000人，參加殘奧會的運動員數(shù)量約為4400人。
