Write, for example, the night is starry and

the stars are blue and shiver in the distance'.

而星星在遙遠(yuǎn)的天際閃爍著幽藍(lán)的光”。

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

夜風(fēng)在星空里吟嘯盤旋。

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

今夜我可以寫下最憂傷的詩(shī)章。

I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

我愛她，有時(shí)她也曾愛我。

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.

無數(shù)個(gè)如同今夜的星空下，我擁她在我懷里。

I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

在浩渺的星空下與她吻之又吻。

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.

我愛她，曾經(jīng)她些許也是愛過我的。

How could one not have loved her great still eyes?

誰(shuí)不會(huì)愛上她那雙靜如秋水的雙眸？

Tonight I can write the saddest lines,

今夜我可以寫下最憂傷的詩(shī)篇，

To think that I do not have her,

去想我不再擁有她，

To feel that I have lost her,

去感受我已經(jīng)失去了她，

To hear the immense night,

傾聽這無邊的曠夜，

still more immense without her.

因?yàn)闆]了她而愈加空曠。

And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.

那詩(shī)句墮入靈魂 如甘露灑向牧草。

What does it matter that my love could not keep her,

如果我的愛挽留不住她，叫我又如何，

the night is starry and she is not with me.

星星陪伴著夜，而她不在身邊，

This is all.

而那已足夠。

In the distance someone is singing.

遙遠(yuǎn)的地方是誰(shuí)在吟唱？

In the distance,

遠(yuǎn)方的遠(yuǎn)方，

My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

失去她的模樣，我的靈魂成殤。

My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.

我的視線將她搜尋，目光把她拉近。

My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.

我的心在尋找她，可她不在身旁。

The same night whitening the same trees.

還是那個(gè)夜，依舊那棵樹，舊夜打亮昔日的樹。

We, of that time, are no longer the same.

而彼時(shí)，我們不再心一如初。

I no longer love her, that's certain,

我不再愛她，如此決絕。

but how I loved her.

可曾經(jīng)我是深深愛過她，

My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.

我的心聲渴望循著風(fēng)吹進(jìn)她的耳朵，

Another's. She will be another's.

屬于他人的她將終屬他人。

As she was before my kisses,

正如在我吻她之前，

Her voice, her bright body,

她的聲音，她白皙的身體，

Her infinite eyes,

她深邃的雙眼，

I no longer love her, that's certain,

毅然不再愛她，

but maybe I love her.

也許我還在愛著她。

Love is so short, forgetting is so long.

愛那么短，遺忘那么長(zhǎng)。

Because through nights like this one

因?yàn)闊o數(shù)個(gè)如今夜的夜復(fù)一夜，

I held her in my arms

我曾把她擁入我懷，

My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

我的心因?yàn)槭ニ鴽]有填補(bǔ)。

Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer

這是她讓我承受的最后一次疼痛，

and these the last verses that I write for her.

而這也是最后我為她寫下的傷心的詩(shī)。
