Dear Dave,

I'm glad you'll come to China to learn Chinese.

As China are getting stronger and richer and more important in the world, more and more foreigners come to China. They want to learn more about Chinese history and culture. They want to make money. They want to achieve the dreams in China.

Many people say Chinese is much more difficult than English. But I don't think so. In fact, spoken Chinese is very easy. Written Chinese is really difficult.

Here's some advice for you on Chinese learning. In the morning, you read aloud some sentences, again and again, until you can recite them. Later in the evening, you should write those sentences down on paper. Keep a diary. Listen to Chinese songs. Talk shows and soap operas can also help a lot. Chinese are very friendly. Just talk anytime you want. Don't be shy.
